Ty Hafan provides care and support for life-limited children, young people and their families, ensuring they make the most of every precious moment. Not only is Ty Hafan a home from home providing specialist palliative care, but we also offer a much-needed source of strength, respite and support for the whole family. From diagnosis to bereavement and beyond we take our support right into the heart of the family home.

To provide this unique service free of charge to families in Wales that need us, we have to raise £2.5 million every year.

As many as 500,000 people living in the UK today have had either viral or bacterial meningitis, and many are struggling to cope with its lasting impact. Up to 10 million adults in the UK - one adult in every four - knows of someone who has had the disease. The Meningitis Trust, a registered charity, helps and supports everyone struggling to cope with the impact of meningitis.

Most people survive meningitis but thousands are left with debilitating after effects including deafness, blindness, limb loss, learning difficulties, memory issues and behavioural problems. The impact may also cause relationship difficulties and an enforced change of lifestyle.

The Meningitis Trust is here to support every individual touched by meningitis and the Trust's services and support are a lifeline to help them rebuild their lives. It also raises awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis and associated septicaemia.
